\nCall for projects<\/strong><\/p>\n \nFocus on new skills, new markets, new profiles \uf0b7 What skills do young and established translators need to master in order to thrive in We are seeking contributions from our stakeholders in relation to the theme of this year’s Forum,\u00a0and in particular to the following areas:<\/p>\n NEW PROFILES FOR NEW MARKETS<\/p>\n \uf02d language industry initiatives (such as traineeships or work placements): showcase of\u00a0projects, exchange of best practices, ideas for new University-industry partnerships TRAINING FOR NEW SKILLS<\/p>\n \uf02d building bridges between University and the job market TRANSLATION TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY SKILLS<\/p>\n \uf02d how translation technologies are driving new behaviours and creating new market demand Interested stakeholders are invited to submit their proposal for contribution on one or more of\u00a0the topics above. The proposals may concern examples of best practices, relevant university\u00a0programmes or courses, case studies, intermediate or final outputs of research projects.\u00a0Please note that, in order to ensure equal treatment and non-discrimination of market operators,\u00a0DGT will not retain proposals focused on mere presentations of existing commercial IT products.<\/p>\n \n
\nThe Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission is organising the\u00a04th edition of the Translating Europe Forum, focusing this year on translators skills and\u00a0employability. We will welcome representatives of all sides of the European translation\u00a0community to debate the following topics:<\/p>\n
