{"id":2089,"date":"2017-07-08T07:00:20","date_gmt":"2017-07-08T06:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paratraduccion.com\/doctorado\/?p=2089"},"modified":"2017-07-06T22:28:37","modified_gmt":"2017-07-06T21:28:37","slug":"publicacion-trends-in-translation-and-interpreting-2017-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/paratraduccion.com\/doctorado\/publicacion-trends-in-translation-and-interpreting-2017-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Publicaci\u00f3n &#8211; Trends in translation and interpreting 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Publicaci\u00f3n &#8211; Trends in translation and interpreting 2017<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iti.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ITI<\/a> has published its first e-book on trends in translation and interpreting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It brings together a cross-section of experts offering their thoughts on important trends in the sector and suggesting strategies practitioners and LSPs need to employ to help them deal with today\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The publication provides perspectives from academia, freelance translators and interpreters across a range of languages and specialisations, technology thought leaders and the LSP sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The e-book contributors are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dr Jo Drugan<\/strong>:\u00a0 senior lecturer in Applied Translation Studies at the University of East Anglia<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dr Maeve Olohan<\/strong>: senior lecturer and co-director at the Centre for Translation and Intercultural Studies, University of Manchester<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Gert van Assche<\/strong>: owner of Datamundi, a company helping LSPs and large technology companies to innovate, and Symbyonics, a company helping translators to cope with MT<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Gillian Hargreaves<\/strong>: ITI Fellow, Board member and chair of the Fellowship Committee<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dr Yves Le Juen<\/strong>: conference interpreter, university teacher and long-standing member of the ITI Admissions Committee<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Anne de Freyman<\/strong>: ITI vice-chair and Board member, with a special interest in events and social media<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jakub Sacharczuk<\/strong>: ITI Board member, whose business, Translation Ofis, was set up as a linguistic and cultural bridge between service providers and the Polish community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Karen McMillan Tkaczyk<\/strong>: ITI Fellow and French into English translator, specialising in chemistry and its industrial applications<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Anu Carnegie-Brown<\/strong>: MD of Sandberg Translation Partners Ltd<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Alexander C.
