The\u00a0ETIV<\/a> degree was developed and launched during the 2018-2019 academic year by three lecturers of the Translation & Para<\/span>translation (T&<\/span>P<\/span>) (\u00d3scar Ferreiro V\u00e1zquez<\/a>,\u00a0Ram\u00f3n M\u00e9ndez Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Yuste Fr\u00edas<\/a>) , being<\/span><\/span> joined by a fourth member during the 2019-2020 academic year (Emmanuel Bourgoin<\/span> Vergondy<\/span><\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our training tries not to overlook any of the key aspects that companies demand from their workers in this strategic sector, which means that, although video game localization itself (ingame, subtitling,\u00a0and<\/i><\/i> dubbing) remains as the main focus, the course also tackles aspects such as marketing and publicity in the strategies of international communication, software translation, specialized interpreting for the video game sector, translation for the press, or literary translation for augmented and transmedia narratives based on video games.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Its goal is to expand the contents taught in the Video Game Translation<\/i><\/a>\u00a0subject that has been a part of the\u00a0MTCI<\/a>\u00a0of the Universidade de Vigo<\/i> since the 2013-2014 academic year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The ETIV degree has been designed to provide an eminently practical training in which every member of the teaching body introduces the students to texts, paratexts, specific cases and real situations that they could find in the professional market of video game translation and localization.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
