Law applied to translation

This subject aims to provide a range of knowledge about the legal environment surrounding the profession of translators and interpreters. A variety of issues will be addressed, but linked to the business environment, such as a comparison with the various legal and corporate forms, analysing their advantages and disadvantages. In addition, basic and practical aspects of the so-called industrial property rights linked to the exercise of a business activity will be studied. Finally, this subject studies the so-called “intellectual property”, also known as “copyright”, as it is a subject of unquestionable relevance for those potentially interested in this master’s degree.
