Cultural services are a wide field of action that integrates all tasks related to cultural production and consumption today. This subject delves into the translation needs of the services of cultural industries that may include management, design and programming of activities and varied cultural projects in the media and/or the audiovisual media, in theatrical and/or musical performances, or in the publishing sector, on which we will be focusing. Translation is an essential tool in the exchange of goods and services of this industry that manipulates all types of texts from different fields such as art, leisure, design, advertising, gastronomy, or tourism. It is necessary to bear in mind that the cultural exchange generates an important economic impact that must be taken into account and analyzed considering diversity and gender perspective, as well as the inequalities derived from consumption.
