CFP – Translation forum Russia

Translation Forum Russia is the most ambitious and reaching event in the language industry in Russia and across the former Soviet Union countries. It has been held annually since 2009. Hundreds of professionals from different parts of the world, including freelance and in-house translators and interpreters, producers of CAT tools and other translation-related software, and company managers, get together every year to share best practices and improve standards for language service provision.

The conference is universal in scope and covers all the players on the market: translation suppliers and customers, managers of translation agencies and translation departments, company managers, freelance and in-house translators and interpreters, teachers and trainers, producers of CAT tools and other translation-related software, translators’ associations, government bodies, and publishers. Thematic sections are organized for each group, as well as round table and panel discussions, master classes with prominent translators, and many opportunities for discussion in interactive non-conference format.

The general goals

of the conference are to strengthen the professional community, to improve collaboration, to share knowledge of new tools and methods, and to promote the best interests of both practitioners and schools of translation and interpreting alike.
We invite you to join us in implementing this important mission. We value the expertise of our participants and appreciate input from the international community, as well as Russian professionals. This year, the conference will focus on the new challenges faced by the industry and new ways to address them.

This year participants of Translation Forum Russia are welcome to Congress-Hall. Congress-Hall is a venue for political and cultural events in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is located in a picturesque place close to the Agidel river and its windows offer a great panoramic view of the banks.

In front of the building at Salawat Yulayev Walkway there is the biggest fountain complex in Bashkortostan. Two angelica flowers linked by a stream with three modulations form a great ensamble with the view of the river and glass front of the building with Bashkir national motif.

Congress-Hall is a spacious and hi-tech building resembling a drop of water decorated with Bashkir patterns. It offers a concert hall with 774 seats, two conference halls (the smaller one with 94 seats and the oval one with 22 seats), museum and exhibition facilities, a national cuisine restaurant (with 120 seats), interior garden and shopping mall (for 1000 customers).
