Xoán Manuel Garrido Vilariño has a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Philology, Galician-Portuguese branch; and a bachelor’s degree in Romance Philology, French branch; by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. He is a tenure professor of Secondary Education in Galician Language and Literature at the Politéctico Institute of Vigo, where he also teaches Portuguese as a 1st and 2nd foreign language and Holocaust and Memory.
He has a PhD in Translation and Interpreting by the Universidade de Vigo with the doctoral dissertation (2004) “Traducir a Literatura do Holocausto: Tradución/Paratraducción de Se questo è un uomo de Primo Levi”.
Professor of Translation and Interpreting of French and Portuguese since the 13th of january 1995.
Associate lecturer in the bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at the Universidade de Vigo in the language combination French-Galician-French.
