She holds a Bachelor in Translation and Interpreting by Universidade de Vigo (2017), a Master in East Asian Studies with specialization in Japanese Studies by Universidad de Salamanca (2018) and a Master of Arts in Literature in English by Dalarna University (2024). PhD in Translation & Paratranslation by Universidade de Vigo (2023), she is a lecturer in Translation and Interpreting at Universidade de Vigo, where she belongs to the Department of Translation and Linguistics, and is also a member of the T&P research group.
In 2020, she was awarded a grant for research training in Centro Ramón Piñeiro para a Investigación en Humanidades by Xunta de Galicia to specialize in Phraseological Studies. Since then, she collaborates with the METAFRAS project (CIRPH) and is the associate editor of the journal Cadernos de Fraseoloxía Galega. During the last years, she has also been a reviewer for several journals (La Colmena, Boletín galego de literatura, Anuario de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil, MonTI, Revista Nebrija de Lingüística Aplicada a la Enseñanza de Lenguas, Journal of Audiovisual Translation…).
Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting in the Department of Translation and Linguistics at Universidade de Vigo since 2023, where she teaches several undergraduate courses in the following linguistic combinations: French-Spanish, French-Galician and English-Spanish. In the Master’s degree in Translation for International Communication, which has been awarded the mention of excellence by Xunta de Galicia, she teaches the graduate course Economic-Commercial Translation: English – Galician – English / English – Spanish – English.
As a researcher, she has published several papers in books and journals and has participated in numerous national and international conferences with communications of original research as well as workshops. She has also translated into Galician several academic texts on Phraseology. Her main research interests include the paratranslation of the text-image relationship (especially, in the case of graphic narratives) as well as the representation of Otherness in pop culture.
